Hi! I'm Jessica, a designer and illustrator from southern Ohio, where the woods are thick, the critters are plenty, and creativity tends to grow a little wild. My work is rooted in that environment—full of animals, nature, and a sense of character that feels lived-in rather than manufactured. It’s not overly polished or precious. It’s thoughtful, a little scrappy, and built with intention.

That mindset is at the heart of Fat & Scrappy Studio. My fun little mascot—a fat, fluffy raccoon—isn’t just a logo, it’s a represenation of my work and my process. He sees possibility where others see scraps, turning the overlooked into something unexpected (like his beloved dumpstermobile). That’s how I approach design. I don’t just look at what something is—I look at what it could become. Sometimes the path there isn’t perfectly linear, but it always leads somewhere purposeful, memorable, and built to stand out.
 

I love working with small businesses and growing brands—people who care deeply about what they’re building and need someone who can help bring that vision to life. Whether it’s a single logo or a full brand system, I focus on creating work that feels authentic, distinctive, and genuinely useful.
